Re: Hyperv 2012R2
Hi Thank you for your post and sorry for the delay in our response. Actually we have never installed CG in a HyperV 2012R2 VM but it should work in theory as CG has been validated with previous HyperV versions. Also CG v1.2.2 is based on a Linux kernel 3.10.100 and according to my information that k...

Re: ssl intercept CA
Dear Frank The SSL mediation uses a CA root certificate (and not an intermediate CA certificate) so you need not to sign that CA with your Corp root CA. As you already have a Corp root CA I suggest that you import it into your CG instead of generating a new one. To do so put your Corp root CA and it...

Re: Installing Problems
Hi Tomek Thank you for your inputs. I assume that your IE is configured to use 10.101.1.89:8080 proxy. Right? I noticed that you created a tagged VLAN having the id 101. As no IP address is assigned to it could you confirm that the vlan mode is turned off by using the following command: mode vlan Al...

Re: Installing Problems
Hi Tomek
It seems that you have a connectivity issue and CG never receives Web requests from your client. Could you please send us the result of commands that David asked?

Re: Strange Behaviour after upgrade to 1.1.4
Hello Miguel After having studied your configuration file it seems that your issue does not come form the v1.1.4 upgrade but from a referral request sent by your AD to CG. Let's say your guard LDAP filter is as follows: guard filter ldap add myRequest 'dc=example,dc=com' 'sAMAccountName' 'memberOf=c...

Re: Strange Behaviour after upgrade to 1.1.4
Dear Miguel
I don't think that increasing the RAM could resolve this issue. But if you do it the detection is automatic. You will only need to reboot your system.

Re: Log Analysis
Dear Miguel Actually CG uses a custom log format which is similar to Apache log format with additional information related to the caching provided by Squid. As David mentioned the CG log format is described at http://www.cacheguard.net/doc/command/log.html . Webalizer allows you to use a CLF (Custom...

Re: Integration with Active directory
Hi I'm happy to hear that :-) To configure the URL guarding based on belonging to an LDAP group, you have to do the following: - Create a guard category list (GUI: [ SECURITY] / / [Category Lists] ). - Initialise the guard category list content (GUI: [b][SECURITY] / [URL Guarding] / [Load Category C...
