Hi David,
because I didnt find a better place in this forum, I posted it here:
I know that it is possible to export with "Save Logs" all logs from a specific day, but I am missing the possibility to export
logs from a single user IP address for a specifyed timeperiod.
This would be a really nice feature.
Kindly reagards,
Michael
Feature Request -- Export logs for a single IP address and timeperiod
Re: Feature Request -- Export logs for a single IP address and timeperiod
Hi Michael,
Thank you for your post.
I can understand your need but is is not the vocation of CacheGuard to offer such a possibility. You have a ton of tools in the market that can perfectly manage logs and generate reports. However we may consider your suggestion in a future version.
Good to know: you can automate log downloads using your favorite scheduler and the SSH interface of CG with SSH keys (refer to http://www.cacheguard.net/doc/command/admin.html).
FYI we are about to release a new version (EH 1.3.0) that normalizes date formats (RFC3339) for a better integration in log management tools.
Best Regards,
