Moving Appliance new MAC

Post by GEROholding »

Hallo,
is there any way for an already registered appliance to move or to reinstall it on a new hardware with new MAC?
Thank you in advance.

Hello,

V2P (Virtual to Physical) & P2V (Physical to Virtual) S/N migrations are exceptionally allowed if you don't ask for such an operation too frequently. To do so please proceed as follows (order is important):

0- Save your current CacheGuard-OS configuration.
1- Install CacheGuard-OS on your new machine.
2- Turn off your old CacheGuard machine.
3- Ask us to bind your new MAC address to your existing S/N as a replacement to your old MAC address (you should directly contact your CG sales contact).
4- Restore your CacheGuard-OS configuration on your new CacheGuard machine.
5- Re-register your new appliance as an already registered appliance during the registration process.
6- Re-install your existing licence key.
7- Uninstall your old CacheGuard machine (delete the related VM or format your old physical installation).

Best Regards,
