Hi,

Recently I have got a ISO which name is the CacheGuard-NG-64-1.1.5.iso for x64.
After the installation, when it rising up, the messages occured like this, "Adding IPv4 address xx.xx.xx.xx to the eth0 interface... RTNETLINK answers: No such file or directory". Then the both interface could not connect the network.
The server is DELL R610 with 16GB RAM and about 500GB HDD.
Attemping reinstallation of iso and detail watched the setup is not effect.
How it fix? pls let me know. It is little bit urgent.

Hi Jason

Could you please send us the output of the following command:

Code: Select all

Are you using your Broadcom NetXtremeII NICs in 1GBe or in 10GBe configuration? Is it possible to switch manually to a 1Gbe configuration (see the BIOS)? Also please let me know the speed configuration of the switch port on which your machine is connected to.

Best Regards

Dear Jason

It seems that your NICs have been detected during the installation but CG can't load the adequate driver during the start-up because either:

- Your Dell server is too recent and CG-OS NG v1.1.5 does not include the right driver OR
- During the installation your NICs had been configured in 10 Gbe and CG installed the 10 Gbe driver which can't manage your NIC in 1 Gbe.

Can you ensure that your Dell have been installed with the same hardware configuration as during the start-up ?
FYI we are on the edge of releasing the CG-OS NG 1.2.0 which includes more recent drivers. I hope that it could resolve your issue too.

Best Regards,

Dear Jason

We can confirm that the issue you encountered is due to a non OpenSource firmware miss in the current version of CG-OS. It will be included to the future version (v1.2.0) as we no longer provide patches for the current version (v.1.1.5).

Best Regards,

Hi angellily,

Please get the latest version (which is the NG-64-1.2.4 at the time of writing). It should resolve the problem. You can download the latest version from http://www.cacheguard.com/index.php/dow ... acheguard/.
